The aim of Re: location is to integrate arts groups from diverse cultural backgrounds and to unite artists from the 6 former states of Yugoslavia. The Republic of Serbia is a country located at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe, covering the southern part of the Pannonian Plain and the central Balkans with Hungary to the north; Romania and Bulgaria to the east; Kosovo and Macedonia to the south; and Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro to the west.
‘Crazy Goat Art Promotions’ led by artist Mike Walton is an International Arts Organisation that promotes creative dialogue and cultural diversity through an on-going exchange programme. Its focus is on contemporary arts and educational partnerships with the creation of exhibitions, residencies, discussions and publications.
A consortium of 11 artists who have a history of study or work at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston aims to break cultural barriers and gain a greater understanding of the complex issues and artistic differences of the Balkan region in collaboration with artists affiliated with the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. The project offers the chance of an interaction between artists, tutors, students as well as the local arts community and public.
